If you take Myrens vâg to the left up towards the trash bins and continue straight ahead, you will pass several houses. When the road splits further ahead, you can either continue straight onto a nice hiking trail or turn right at the blue house and follow the many paths crisscrossing through the forest.
Head onto the main road and turn left towards Garviks Camping, just after the playground with workout equipment. When you reach the sea at the campsite, keep right and follow the trail along the water. You will pass several small beaches before reaching the pier, Hamncaféen, and the local store.
Follow the main road towards the local store, but turn left up Høyden. When you reach the top, keep right and walk past the large yellow house on the right (a former guesthouse). From here, the trail enters the forest at a barrier. This path leads down to the campsite, where you can keep right to reach the pier, the local store, and Hamncaféen.
Food and Drinks:
A glass of wine and a räkmacka at Hamncaféen, an ice cream from the local store, or a kebab plate from the takeaway stand at the store are great options if you want to combine your walk with a meal.
To reach a large, shallow beach, take a right at the trash bins, follow the road uphill, and then turn left where the sign says V. Rossö. It is a long and steep hill, so driving is recommended. After about 1.5 km, you will find a large parking lot on the right. From here, it is just a short walk to the beach, which is both beautiful and family-friendly.
If you wish to continue your walk, from this parking lot, you can head further into Kokholmen, a beautiful area where cars are not allowed. Follow the road to the end, where you will encounter a fence and a gate. Go through the gate to find several scenic hiking trails and stunning nature – a highly recommended visit.
Grebbestad, Fjällbacka, Kungshamn, and Smögen are charming towns worth visiting, with opportunities to take boats out to different islands.
