Ski trails, hiking routes and local food experiences right outside your door in Tuddal
Welcome to Fjellrede – a well-designed, newly built cabin in Tuddal, located on the sunny side of Gaustatoppen. With sweeping views of Gaustadknea and Lake Torskjærvannet, and both cross-country trails and hiking paths just steps from the cabin, this is an ideal base for active days in the mountains – all year round.
Outdoor activities and access:
Cross-country ski trail just 100 metres from the cabin, connecting you to a wide network of groomed tracks through forest and open mountain terrain
Gaustadknea is a popular year-round destination, and many choose to ski tour directly to Gaustatoppen from the area
In summer, it’s about 15 minutes by car to the trailhead for the Gaustatoppen hike (note: the mountain road is closed during winter except in peak season)
Flugonfjell ski lift is a 20-minute drive away, and Gaustadblikk Alpine Centre is accessible via a 25 km ski loop or by car (approx. 1.5 hours in winter)

Four comfortable bedrooms: 2 beds (150x200 cm) and 2 beds (180x200 cm)

The place has been given a small taste from one of the participants from Eventyrlig Uppussing, and with furnishings from drivved.no
Open-plan living area with a wood-burning stove – a great place to gather after a day outdoors
Fully equipped kitchen for easy meals, whether you're cooking for two or eight
Separate laundry room and indoor storage – ideal for longer stays or active families

Only 1 km from the cabin, you’ll find the historic Tuddal Mountain Hotel, known for its relaxed atmosphere and high-quality dining:

3- and 4-course dinners with optional wine pairings – highly recommended after a day in the snow
For a quick meal or snack, stop by Bøen café and kiosk, just 10 minutes away. There’s also a well-stocked grocery store nearby with everything you need for your stay – whether you're planning a simple breakfast or a full dinner.

Practical information:
Bedding and towels: Not included. You may bring your own or rent for 250 NOK per set. Please notify us in advance if you’d like to rent.
Cleaning: Included in the total price, but guests must prepare the cabin for cleaning according to instructions. The cleaning fee will appear as a separate line item when booking.
Easter bookings: Available for the following periods: Friday–Wednesday, Wednesday–Monday, or the full Easter week.
