Welcome to the mountain plateau of Ringsaksfjellet and to a charming log cabin by idyllic Kroksjøen at Sjusjøen. Here you experience true Norwegian mountain living with panoramic views and nature right outside your door, while still being close to the center of Sjusjøen and everything the area has to offer.
In winter, freshly groomed cross-country ski trails stretch in all directions and are prepared daily as long as snow conditions allow. Simply step outside, put on your skis, and head straight onto the open plateau. If you prefer walking, Lunkefjell – Sjusjøen’s highest peak at 1,012 meters – is just a short hike away and offers beautiful views as your reward.
When the snow melts, the area transforms into a summer paradise with mountain biking and scenic trail cycling, hiking directly from the cabin, fishing and swimming in Kroksjøen and nearby lakes, and long, peaceful days surrounded by fresh mountain air.
The cabin is traditionally built in solid log style and offers a warm and authentic atmosphere combined with practical solutions. The layout makes it easy for families and friends to enjoy both social time and privacy. There is a living room with mountain views, a kitchen and dining area for shared meals, three bedrooms with a total of seven beds, and a loft with comfortable sleeping space for two more guests. The cabin also features a bathroom, a small cozy sauna, and a practical ski waxing room and storage area.
The electrical system is modern, the roof is newly insulated and well ventilated, and during winter the road is plowed all the way to the entrance.
A new terrace allows you to follow the sun from morning to evening – perfect for your morning coffee or a quiet evening with mountain views.
The cabin has modern plumbing and a large hot water tank. Water is filled manually from a nearby roadside tap, with a total capacity of approximately 500 liters including an additional tank. This is a well-known and practical solution for those who appreciate a genuine mountain cabin experience.

Practical information:
Bed linen and towels: Not included. You can bring your own or rent for NOK 250 per set. Please let us know in advance if you wish to rent.
Cleaning: Included in the total price, but guests must prepare the property according to instructions. The cleaning fee will appear as a separate line when booking.
Easter holiday: Bookings during Easter are possible for the following periods: Friday–Wednesday, Wednesday–Monday, or the entire week.
